We owe you an apology . . .

Hi Everyone,

We were recently told that we have made a huge mistake by not keeping you more informed about the people you have helped. The more we thought about it the more we decided that they were right. We have been at this for almost a year now and it is past time to discuss all the good that you have done.

The thousands of books you donated have been redistributed to readers all over Springfield. Below is a list of just some of the recipients of your generosity:

Central Counties Health Centers

SIU Center for Family Medicine

Butler Elementary School

Laketown Elementary School

Washington Plaza Apartments

Your books have been given to the recipients of the Central Illinois Food Bank Distributions and to the attendees of Scheels Safe Kids Saturday. Through our appearances at the Old Capitol Farmer’s Market, we have shared thousands of books with the community.

You have been absolutely amazing and more supportive than we could have hoped for, so please forgive us for neglecting you. Running a nonprofit is complex and ever-changing, but we are working on it. 🙂 Land of Lincoln Bookshare is growing and doing some really amazing things because of your kindness and we could not be more grateful!

Thank you,

Tiffany & Tina
